Good Party Aunt Jill!

Saturday night was just another good Lorenzetti birthday party. This one was hosted by Troy Street in honor of Sammy turning 6. Carla deciding to get some baking practice in made the "Pokeball" cake or something like that. If your under 10, maybe you will understand. I obviously did not. However, the cake both looked and tasted "delicious"! Naturally saying that last line as Marissa would. I don't think things are set in stone yet, but it is looking like our own Carla Ann might take up this bakery thing full-time as she is planning on attending the French Pastry School in Chicago beginning in January. The program is 6 months long and she plans to stay with Michael and Maribeth, with the occasional drop-in on my brother. Last week my dad and Carla took the train out to visit the school. They brought back some tasty treats that many of us sampled last night. Again, a big Marissa, "delicious".
The Pics below are from the festivities that took place on the deck. The deck group enjoyed Sirius satellite radio and were primarily entertained by Jimmy Buffet as we listened to his Sept 2007 concert that was being re-played from some station in Toronto. Angela Reardon did most of the leading of these songs as she is a big Buffet fan, I believe they are called "Parrotheads". As you will see, even the rain did not send the "deck people" inside, Aunt Jill graciously supplied umbrellas for those of us that were not covered by the house overhang. Eventually, the "deckers" were driven away by mother nature with viscious mosquitos, increased wind, and very hard rain. Uncle Jamie attempted to keep the mosquitos at bay with Aunt JoAnn citronella candles, but his attempt was unsuccessful. I just counted 5 mosquito bites that I received last night. Uncle Jamie was however successful with grilling up a kick-ass striped sea-bass. "Delicious!" Thanks for the hospitality Aunt Jill and Uncle Jamie, "good party!".

CARLA! I am so impressed by your Pokeball cake!! The alternating chocolate and vanilla looks to die for. Literally. I am so sweets-deprived, it's a crime. I wish I could have been there for the party. Thanks for the post, Kat.
