Last weekend some of the "older folks" headed to our beloved Beaver River to get some work done on the camp. Carla had the Troy St. clan for the weekend and I wanted to take Emma for a night of fun. Although she had just had her 1 year vaccinations and she was a sneezy, snotty mess, but that is another blog story altogether. On Saturday we stayed in Henrietta and visited Gro-Moore Farms, where they had tons of "Fall Fun" activities for us to participate in. As you will be able to see, much fun was had by all. That is until the end of the trip where Emma had a freak out in her stroller. There were plenty of cut-outs for the kids to try on for size. Sam, Owen, and Kelly went down the big slide, while the rest of us did the mini one. I took Emma on the tractor ride with the kids too, while Carla took pics. All of us went on the large scale hayride too. It was so relaxing I didn't want it to stop, but it eventually did. The kids favorite part of the festivities was the "Duck Races" there were old fashioned pumps set up that you had to pump water into this rain gutter which the current then pushed your duck through the maze, until it eventually dumped out into a bucket at the end. I must say it was pretty sweet. Unfortunately Carla and I were not able to try it out, as we had not paid for admission. I do believe if we rigged a couple of these up at Barker St it would be a treat loved by all! Owen seemed to be the "King of the Duck Races"- he was practically unbeatable. He easily beat out his siblings, but Sammy still beat Kelly on most occasions. I really wish you could have all seen it because Owen has some serious skill, other kids we didn't know tried to compete, but it really was no competition. Sidenote to Uncle Jamie & Aunt Jill- maybe you should see if there is some sort of competitive circuit for this thing, it could be worth some money. You will also see a pic of Em dancing in front of the "one man band". He was actually pretty good. We should consider him for future birthday bashes. As Emma began to freak out in her stroller I pushed her inside where this guy was playing. At first she just sat quietly in her stroller and listened and watched the man intently. Then he switched up to a upbeat tune, where Emma immediately demanded to get out of her stroller. I set her down on the ground and she walked right up to this guy. This girl has the booty drop down- and it was taught to her by NOONE. It is too scary, but histarical at the same time. She will dance to most anything upbeat, but honestly, she does prefer hip-hop. If you turn the cable to the hip-hop channel she is happy for quite a long time. She bends her legs, bounces her butt and just looks for people to watch.
I hope everyone enjoys the pics of our day. I would also like to go to this Corn Maize in Hilton sometime. Check out the website of this maize- it is amazing. This particular farm wins awards practically every year for their creative designs. It is really neat. We should pick a day for us all to go, one that I am off. The place is called Zarpentine Farms and the site is www.zarpentinefarms.com
I hope all the Lorenzetti's are doing GREAAAT!!! Kind of like Tony the Tiger.
Love you all,
Katrina
